I counted her out and didn’t expect her to make it. Based off what I saw, I assumed she’d just ride the reality train to the last stop and live a life enjoying the fruits of her neck rolling, finger snapping labor when the 15 minutes were up. Other than that, I didn’t see much for her because surely no one would want such an obnoxious person representing their brand. But I was wrong, and I actually like the tall, blonde diva now.

I’m not exactly sure if NeNe’s crazy charades were part of a master plan, but it appears so. Unlike other wives on other shows, she created limits and boundaries. While definitely snappy with a fiery attitude, she didn’t throw wine bottles at fellow cast members’ heads and paint herself as a volatile, threatening menace to society. Her outrageousness didn’t extend beyond verbal altercations, keeping herself interesting and relevant enough without seeming too untamed to work with. It was actually pretty smart as I think back on it all.
