Vanessa Hudgens announced the death of her dad just hours before her “Grease: Live” performance.

The actress took to Twitter to express her grief:

The “High School Musical” alum announced his diagnosis while accepting an award during the 2015 Industry Dance Awards in LA.

The singer pushed through her pain and delivered an outstanding performance without missing a beat.
