How To Rock The Thigh High Boot

The thigh high boot is just the latest of the many style trends to hit the streets, but they surely one of the hottest.  These boots are definitely sexy, but can easily be too sexy if worn incorrectly.  Before they became the new muse of the fashion set, thigh highs were largely reserved for hookers and strippers. Accordingly, many people are put off by the bold nature of these haute boots. Here are a few simple guidelines that will help you rock your thigh highs like a true glamazon.

1) Thigh High boots are a statement piece. They speak volumes by themselves. Do not overload on loud pieces when you wear your boots, because you will look overdone. There is nothing worse than someone who looks like they are trying to rock their thigh highs. It should look effortless. Pair yours with a simple pair of boyfriend jeans and a white tee to look sleek, chic and sexy.

2) Avoid wearing overly sexy pieces with your thigh highs.  An ultra-mini cut off denim skirt is not the ideal match for these boots. They are already very sexy, and don’t require any help.  Show off your boots without showing off all of your other goods. 3) Do not do a platform that is outrageously exaggerated. This is the easiest way to go from sexy to slutty in less than 60 seconds.  Try modest, hidden platforms to retain some sophistication.

4) Opt for a flat thigh high boot if you find the heeled boot to be too much.  You can still partake in the thigh high trend on your casual days by going with a low or flat heel variation.
