The Democratic National Convention was a historical occasion, with Hillary Clinton accepting the nomination for president of the United States of America, becoming the first woman to ever run on a major platform.

The week was all about politics, but there were some bold and beautiful styles out there, so let’s break down all of the fashion highlights.

First Lady Michelle Obama gave a riveting and historical speech in a Democratic blue, Christian Siriano A-Line dress. FLOTUS is a style icon, rivaling a modern-day Jackie Kennedy Onassis.

I’m sincerely going to miss when she is out of office. She rallied the crowd and praised Hillary’s leadership and skills.

President Barack Obama told the people that he’s “with her,” and he did it oh-so-stylishly. Our President was charming and candid wearing a dapper suit with a subtle, metallic blue tie and crisp, white button-down shirt.

The pair matched that evening, wearing different shades of blue for night two of the convention.

Actress America Ferrera lent her support to Hillary in a beautiful Black Halo biased-cut black dress with white trimming on the hem. She added a pop of color with red heels and a bold red lip. It was a smart and glamorous look that gave just the right of sexy without going over the top, perfect for a celebrity supporter.

Singer Alicia Keys continued her no-makeup movement and arrived, sans makeup, with what’s becoming her signature hairstyle and a patterned scarf to accent her ensemble. She performed at the event, dedicating her piece to Mothers of the Movement.

Bill Clinton transitioned from former president style to a husband-in-chief vibe, rocking a stylish suit and waving to the crowd. To honor his wife’s nomination, he wore a deep-blue suit and tie, slightly mirroring the dress Michelle during her powerful speech.

The former president showed off his Shinola watch, which was made in the USA by former auto industry workers in Detroit, the perfect nod to American fashion.

Hillary, whose style advisor is the one and only Anna Wintour, editor in chief at Vogue Magazine, made history in an all-white pantsuit that she paired with kitten heels and a soft lip. However, her outfit held more significance than most know.

During the suffrage movement, which fought for decades to secure voting rights for women, many were encouraged to wear white during demonstrations and parades. It represented not only purity, but also the movement’s elevated sense of ideals for equality.

If When Hillary becomes the president of the United States, I can’t wait to see all the pantsuit boss style she will be serving!

Beauties, here’s to life, liberty, and the pursuit of making fashionable statements.
