According to a new lawsuit filed against Brooklyn-born and -bred rapper Jay-Z, the Workers Compensation Board of New York claims Jay’s failed to pay workers’ comp insurance for three months in 2009, adding up to $18,000 in fines. And the court has ordered Beyonce’s baby daddy to pay up!
TMZ reported that the insurance was supposed to cover domestic employees of Jay’ own home – cooks, maids, drivers – you know, the essentials. A friend of the Watch The Throne rapper claims that Jay would never lapse in payments and that the $18,000 that was missed may have been a clerical error.
Let’s hope poppa bear gets these legal woes sorted out before his child enters the world.
