Not to invalidate anyones point, but my personal perspective is that its a form of expression. I dont have any kids, but I would like to think that if I had a daughter and she chose to use her teens to experiment with the barbie fad of makeup and hair, that I would be supportive and make sure that I’m guiding her and talking with her to prevent an extreme version of this girlish fad. I think maybe some of us are looking too deep into what it truly is. Its a fad… nothing more, nothing less in my opinion. As an artist with a mix of logic and an appreciation for the arts, it would be hypocritical of me to shun freedom of expression as so long as it doesn’t bring harm to oneself or anyone else and doesn’t overly expose the body as a means of offense. I think that it provides a platform for young women to experiment with color, the arts, and other cultures. And if properly guided can be beneficial in shaping individuality rather than prohibiting it.

Cali Femme, my personal preference is that I dislike long stringy hair. That is one reason why I wouldn’t date a white girl.
