One of the best ways to spend time chilling out with friends and family over the holidays is watching the juiciest, most riveting movies that came out all year long.

Sure, you could always tune into the classics like Miracle on 34th Street or Home Alone, but why not spice things up with the best films 2015 has to offer?

If you ask Team Beautiful, 2015 has had a banging year in movie remakes. These are a few of our favorites that hit the box office since last January:

1) Spectre

You know we were all over this new James Bond movie with the fabulous Bond girl Naomie Harris. Starring alongside Daniel Craig, Harris plays Eve Moneypenny who helps him on a mission in Rome and Mexico City to find the daughter of his old enemy, Mr. White (Jesper Christensen).

2) Fantastic Four

Yes, hunty! If Michael Bae Jordan is in the cast, you know we’ll be sitting in front of the TV screen at home to indulge in all his glory. Originally from 2005, the movie follows a group of outsiders and their struggle to master their supernatural powers after teleporting to an alternate universe. The latest version of the film stars Kate Mara as Susan Storm, Michael B. Jordan as The Human Torch and Miles Teller as Mister Torch.

3) Terminator Genisys

Just listening to Arnold Schwarzenegger schlepp himself across the screen and talk in his famous Austrian accent will definitely force out a few giggles from you and your loved ones. Schwarzenegger delivers his famous line “I’ll Be Back” one more time as the Guardian while Jason Clarke stars as John Connor and Emilia Clarke plays his mother. In this installment, Connor, the head of the human resistance, orders Sgt. Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) to return to 1984 to save Sarah Connor (Clarke) in a fight against time.

4) The Secret In Their Eyes

Look out for Chiwetel Ejiofor in this remake of a 2009 Argentinian film about a team of investigators harrowed by the gruesome murder of one of their own teenage daughters. Julia Roberts, Nicole Kidman and Lyndon Smith also star in this film directed by Patricia Riggen.

5) Star Wars Episode VII

The newest movie in the Lucas’ world-renown saga is set thirty years after Episode VI, Return of the Jedi and stars new school actor John Boyega as Fin, in addition to old time favorites Carrie Fisher as Leia, Harrison Ford as Hans Solo and Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker.

6) The Wiz Live!

We can’t wait to watch this exciting, brand new remake of the award-winning Broadway play and feature film. The Wiz Live! airs Dec. 3, 8/7c on NBC. Newcomer Shanice Williams stars as Dorothy and is supported by an all-star cast, including: Queen Latifah, Mary J. Blige, David Alan Grier, Ne-Yo, Elijah Kelley, Uzo Aduba, Amber Riley and Common. And, yes, and Stephanie Mills, the original Dorothy from the Broadway play is part of the cast too!

If you can’t watch on 12/3, The Wiz Live! will be available Dec. 4 with XFINITY On Demand, on XFINITY TV Go app and the NBC App. Plus, check out behind-the-scenes videos, the “Making of the Wiz Live” special and great movies that feature the cast of “The Wiz Live” and more holiday favorites.
