The Perfect Guy

Opens: September 11th

Starring: Sanaa Lathan, Michael Ealy, and Morris Chestnut

After an intense breakup with her boyfriend of two years (Morris Chestnut), successful businesswoman Leah Vaughn (played by Sanaa Lathan) finds herself in a whirlwind romance with the handsome Carter (Michael Ealy), but quickly discovers he isn’t who he claims to be. When Leah decides to call it off with Carter to rekindle with her ex-boyfriend, Carter goes into fatal attraction mode. Check out the trailer below.

Creed

Opens November 25th

Starring: Sylvester StalloneMichael B. Jordan, and Graham McTavish

Michael B. Jordan’s leading role in the upcoming film Creed will continue to set him apart as Hollywood’s new “it” guy. As the son of famous boxing champion, Apollo Creed, Adonis Johnson Creed (Jordan), travels to Philadelphia where he’s introduced to Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone), an elderly boxer, who agrees to train him to box like his late father. With the boxing gene running in his blood, Rocky sees potential in Adonis and agrees to mentor him both in and out of the ring.  While Adonis has the heart of a boxer, whether he has what it takes to be a true champion is yet to be determined.

The Visit

Starring: Olivia DeJonge, Ed Oxenbould, Deanna Dunagan, and Peter McRobbie

If horror movies are your thing, The Visit is perfect for you. The scary flick follows Becca and her younger brother Tyler as they take a trip deep into Pennsylvania to meet their grandparents for the very first time. Everything seems to be going great once the siblings arrive at their Nana and Pop Pop’s house until they started noticing strange behavior from the elderly couple. Shortly after their arrivals, the children discover a horrifying secret and fear they will never make it home to their parents. Check out the trailer below.

Everest  

Opens: September 25th

Starring: Jason Clarke, Josh Brolin, John Hawkes, Robin Wright, Michael Kelly, Sam Worthington, Keira Knightley, Emily Watson and Jake Gyllenhaal

Based on the real life events of the 1996 Mt. Everest tragedy that lead to the death of many of the mountain’s climbers, Everest follows two expeditions groups, one led by Scott Fischer (Jake Gyllenhaal) and another led by Rob Hall (Clarke) as they make their way to the top of the world’s highest mountain. Once a fierce snowstorm hits the mountain, the two groups are forced to fight for their lives as they try to survive.

The Walk 

Opens: September 30th

Starring: Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Ben Kingsley

The Walk is the intense true story based on the French high-wire artist Philippe Petit (Joseph Gordon-Levitt)  who, under the guidance of his mentor Papa Rudy (Ben Kingsley), overcame all odds and attempted to walk across a tightrope that stretched between the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in 1974. This IMAX 3D film is said to be a love letter to Paris, New York, and the north and south Towers of the World Trade Center.

Steve Jobs

Opens: October 9th

Starring:  Aaron Sorkin

Starring Aaron Sorkin, Steve Jobs will take us behind the scenes of three iconic Apple product launches and end with the unveiling of the infamous iMac in 1998, bringing light once again to the digital revolution that Jobs created in his lifetime. Check out the trailer below.

Goosebumps 

Opens: October 16th

Starring:  Dylan Minnette, Odeya Rush, and Jack Black

If you’re an 80s or 90s baby, then you’re way too familiar with Goosebumps, a series of thrilling children’s books that kept us on the edge of our seats from cover to cover. Luckily for us, the books are being made into a movie this fall, just in time for Halloween. The film follows a teenage boy, Zach Cooper (Dylan Minnette) as he meets his new neighbor, Hannah (Odeya Rush) who happens to be the daughter of R.L. Stine (Jack Black) the author of the Goosebumps books. Hannah and her dad keep all of the ghosts and monsters of the series locked up in the manuscripts but when Zach unintentionally release them, the teens must find a way to put the monsters away before they harm the town.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2

Opens November 20th

If you’ve been keeping up with “The Hunger Games”, then it’s top priority that you catch the second part of the Mockingjay novel when it hits theaters this fall. As the fourth and final installment of The Hunger Games film series, Mockingjay is the final showdown for President Snow and Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence). The girl on fire is tasked with winning President Snow’s game and conquering the Capitol in the most challenging arena she’s faced in The Hunger Games thus far.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Starring: Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamil

The seventh installment in the Star Wars franchise, hits theaters this holiday season and is the perfect flick for the entire family to enjoy. Set 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi and continues to follow the adventures of Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Princess Leia. Check out the trailer below.

The Peanuts Movie

Opens November 6th

Starring: Noah Schnapp and Bill Melendez 

Charlie Brown (Noah Schnapp), Snoopy (Bill Melendez) and the rest of the crew are making their big screen debut this fall in the 3D animation of The Peanuts Movie, hitting theaters right before the holiday season. Charlie Brown alongside his best friend, Snoopy, embark on their most epic journey yet and take to the skies to pursue Snoopy’s arch-nemesis, the Red Baron. This movie is sure to make us 80s and 90s babies feel quite nostalgic and is the perfect film to watch with the entire family.
