Gearing up for that family trip is definitely something you have to plan for advance. When I had my first bundle of joy, I was new to the whole idea of traveling with a baby. I didn’t realize how much it really entailed. From outfits, food, bottles, diapers, toys, stroller, crib and the list goes on. I knew I had to put a plan in place before I drove myself crazy.
What I would do was write down an entire list of everything that I needed for the baby, then for my husband (yes, they sometimes needs help too) and then finally for me. I found this to be very useful as I didn’t have to remember every last detail in my head.

Now the good news is as your children get older, it does get easier to pack for family trips. You can leave the diapers, the crib, the bottles etc. at home. Thank goodness!
My point in all of this is that I want to point out that the right preparation is key to a successful family trip. No matter if you are only going about for one day or two weeks, you must prepare. Otherwise you will be stressed out the whole time when you’re supposed to be relaxing and having fun. So please, raise your glass of wine to a fun, relaxing family vacation. I know I am!
