Late last month, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was arrested for assault at UCLA, where his son plays football. The alleged victim was  assistant football coach Sal Alosi, who apparently was on the receiving end of Combs wielding a kettlebell at him. (If you know what a kettlebell is, ouch!) According to Combs however, he was defending himself and his son. Not quite sure how one defends themselves with a kettlebell – and by hauling it at someone – but it’ll be interesting to hear how his lawyer defends the action.

MUST READ: Diddy Won’t Face Felony Charges For UCLA Assault

Combs was arrested and charged with three counts of assault with a deadly weapon, one count of battery, and one count of making terrorist threats. He was arrested but was released after posting a bail of $50, 000 (Initially $160, 000). However on Thursday, an L.A. County District Attorney’s spokesperson announced that the felony charges will not be pursued and that the case would be referred to the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office instead, taking the charges down to a misdemeanor.

There are multiple theories as to how and why the incident came to pass. The most interesting by far is that Combs was unhappy at his son’s rare playing chances at the university. But what actually took place in the incident still seems to be unclear. Maybe we’ll eventually know, but more than likely, the case may even end up being settled out of court. We shall see.
