My Girl

A coming of age tale, “My Girl” takes us into the life a preteen girl who is dealing with the death of her mother and getting used to the idea of her undertaker father dating again. Starring a very young Macaulay Culkin as the loyal best friend, this one will have you reminiscing about your youth!  (102 min., PG)

Baby Boom

When business woman J.C Wiatt (Diane Keaton) finds out she inherited a baby from a relative her life and career get turned inside out. Released in 1986, this shows that even as a single mother without a partner to help life can be pretty amazing! (110 min., PG13)

Erin Brockovitch

This 2000 film tells the real life story of Erin Brockovich, a single mother who took down a multimillion dollar corupt corporation. Julia Roberts even won a Best Actress Oscar for her portrayal of this working class “she-ro!”  (131 min., R)

Daddy’s Little Girls

In 2007 Tyler Perry enlisted stars Gabrielle Union and Idris Elba to bring to life the story of a father trying to win custody of his three daughters and the love that found him. Plus let’s be honest…with or without the great acting, watching Idris parade around in a wifebeater for two hours is box office gold! (100 min., PG13)
