President Obama isn’t just talking the talk, he’s walking the walk, too.
The Commander in Chief recently signed up for Obamacare, selecting a bronze-tiered insurance plan. According to the White House, he enrolled for coverage last weekend before his annual holiday vacation in Hawaii.
Since the President receives coverage through his employer, the move was a “symbolic” act and meant to show support for the “marketplaces which are providing quality, affordable health care options to more than a million people.”

“The act of the President signing up for insurance coverage through the D.C. exchange is symbolic since the President’s health care will continue to be provided by the military,” an official said. “Like some Americans, the complicated nature of the president’s case required an in-person sign-up…As you’d expect, the president’s personal information is not readily available in the variety of government databases HealthCare.gov uses to verify identities.”
In 2010, Mr. Obama promised to participate in the legislation after its passing. Looks like he stayed true to his word.
