Kerry Washington Carded For ID At After-Party Celebrating Her Own Film
Actress Kerry Washington, of “Ray” and “I Think I Love My Wife” fame, may not be as famous as we thought. According to Page Six, she was asked for identification when she arrived at the after-party at Marquee for the Urbanworld Film Festival premiere of “Night Catches Us.”
The best part? The film stars Washington, herself, as well as her “She Hate Me” co-star Anthony Mackie.
“She was semi-offended and surprised, but then she couldn’t find” her ID, said a source.
Washington playfully responded, “You can IMDB me, though.”
Luckily, she got in. Not sure how she would have explained that to the crowd that patiently awaited the arrival of the star of the film.
You can catch Washington in Tyler Perry’s upcoming film “For Colored Girls” starring fellow females Anika Noni Rose, Janet Jackson, Kimberly Elise, Loretta Devine, Phylicia Rashad, and Whoopi Goldberg.
