Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson can milk these bankruptcy shenanigans all he wants, but a New York City judge doesn’t seem to care. According to reports, a judge has ordered 50 Cent to pay Lavonia Leviston, the mother of Rick Ross’ child, an additional $2 million in punitive damages for leaking her sex tape in 2009.
50 was ordered to pay Leviston $5 million prior to today’s decision, which resulted in the rapper filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in Connecticut — a move that he may have made to keep from having to cough up so much money.
However, he leaked the sex tape out of spite as a diss to Rick Ross, with whom he was  beefing with at the time. Obviously the judge and jury weren’t amused.
The breakdown is that 50 Cent has to pay  $2.5 million for using Leviston’s image without her permission, another $2.5 million for intentional infliction of emotional distress, and $2 million in punitive damages.
This is probably not a lesson learned for Curtis. We all know he loves stirring up drama.
