10 Beyonce & Blue Ivy References On Jay-Z’s ‘Magna Carta Holy Grail’
While you were busy eating, barbecuing, vacationing and sleeping your life away this 4th of July weekend, Jay-Z was putting in work and giving us the masterpiece that we now know as “Magna Carter Holy Grail.” The album was released after only one month of advertising and it was rumored that Hov spent only two weeks completing it! Whether the album is in heavy rotation on your iPod or is sitting in your recycle bin, one thing we can all agree on is that this album gave us a deeper look into the life and times of Shawn Carter, his marriage to Queen Bey, relationship with baby Blue and all that’s in between. While Shawn is no stranger to mentioning Beyonce and Blue in the majority of his lyrics, we’ve found about 10 references honoring hip-hop’s favorite mother and daughter duo in this album already, with 2 or 3 in one song alone!
Check out 10 of our favorite Beyonce & Blue inspired lyrics on Jay-Z’s new album, “Magna Carta Holy Grail.”

“Sleeping every night next to Mona Lisa
The modern day version
With better features”
