VH1 VJ Lala Vasquez and NBA superstar Carmelo Anthony have set a date!
Lala Vasquez made the announcement this morning on The Wendy Williams Show. She and her basketball playing hubby-to-be Mr. Anthony are searching for a bigger home in Los Angeles.
The wedding will take place this summer in New York City and Lala Velasquez has hired celebrity wedding planner Mindy Weiss who handled the Heidi Klum and Seal wedding. Hmmm… we wonder if she handles the romantic annual wedding that Heidi and Seal have every year to renew their vows?
Anyway, rocking super funky black leather gloves, Lala says that the wedding will have about 250-300 fabulous guests and girlfriends Ciara, Kim Kardashian and Solange Knowles will definitely be involved. We are so happy for her, and she was glowing as she spoke about it. We love love!
Congrats Lala. She also announced hosting an exciting new show produced by Russell Simmons where she’ll be helping NBA players find love. That seems to be the trend in TV. We’ll bring you wedding developments as they come in. Carmelo Anthony and Lala Vasquez have one son, and new babies are coming “no time soon,” she says.
The only reason we wanted to have a VH1 Tough Love reunion was to have Miss Lala come in and wrangle our beef. Alas, it was not to be. C’est la vie.

I didn’t even know that Lala Vasquez & Carmelo Anthony were dating much less engaged to get married. Anyway it is good to know they found love and hopefully everything will work out for the best for them. Melo found him a hottie.
