More than two dozen people were hauled off by the police in Minneapolis as #BlackLivesMatter protests continued this weekend.

The rotunda at the Mall of America were packed as hundreds of people came out to stage a mass die-in, USAToday.com reports. The demonstration effectively disrupted shoppers, who poured into the halls to look over the balcony as protestors chanted “Black lives matter” and “no justice, no peace.”

An accurate report on the numbers has been hard to pin down, but more than 3,000 people stated that they would be coming out to the protest. Of course, we know that Facebook confirmations often don’t translate into equal attendance in real life.

Demonstrators were reminded that they could face serious consequences shortly after they arrived at the mall. This didn’t keep them from staging a mass die-in in the rotunda, which spilled out into the halls.

This prompted Mall of America authorities to shut down escalators in the mall as some store owners closed their gates to brace themselves for whatever may have happened. Police in riot gear eventually showed up to the building, but most protestors had left of their own accord after about 90 minutes.

According to police in Bloomington, Minnesota, about 25 people were arrested during the demonstration.
