Season 2 of “Being Mary Jane” is just around the corner! While BET hasn’t announced a premiere date for the return of its hour-long drama just yet, it has given fans their first glimpse of season 2! While speaking with Essence.com about ending “The Game” after nine seasons, Mara also made mention of those rumors that a “Girlfriends” movie is in the works. Mara would obviously love to bring the show to the big screen, but she doesn’t have the final say. Mara hinted that if fans want to see a “Girlfriends” movie happen, they should probably contact CBS Paramount because they own the rights to the show.
