Rumors that Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey are splitting up after six years of marriage are absolutely true!

It’s really over for Nick and Mariah. The “Wild N’ Out” host confirmed to Yahoo! News today that he and the diva are no longer living under one roof. “There is trouble in paradise,” he said in a statement. “We have been living in separate houses for a few months.”

Supposedly, one of them moved out of their family home back in May, which was right around the same time that he’d told Parade that there was “no merit or truth” to the “ridiculous” gossip that he and Mariah had broken up.

Their last family post with “Dem Babies,” 3-year-old Moroccan and Monroe, went up in June for Father’s Day. It’s also worth noting that the last time Getty photographers were able to capture them together was while filming Mariah’s MTV Valentine’s Day special back in February

MTV News reports that Mariah’s team didn’t offer any comment on Nick’s confession, but they noted that she’s “focusing on her children and her upcoming tour.”

That’s one thing they seem to be able to agree on. Dismissing rumors that someone was unfaithful in the marriage, Nick said, “My main focus is my kids.”

According to “The Insider,” Nick talking about his past tryst with Kim Kardashian on “Big Boy’s Neighborhood” back in March was the last straw for Mimi. Before that he’d been very candid about their sex life during interviews to the point over-sharing.

Right now, Nick and Mariah’s respective lawyers are hammering out custody and property agreements. No matter their property is divided up, Mariah has a lot more to lose than her husband because she’s worth an estimated $510 million to his $20 million. Nick’s doing alright for himself, but he’s got nothing on his estranged wife financially.

It’s sad to see another once-happy couple split up, but we wish them both the best.

“Real Husbands of Hollywood” fans curious about how this split may play out on the show (the series is inspired by reality afterall) will have to wait to find out next season.
