Tory’s legal team also resurfaced claims around DNA evidence and the infamous “Dance, Megan” comment—arguing these elements were either misrepresented or invalid in the original trial.

In a detailed 31-page legal response obtained by Billboard, Megan’s attorney, Alex Spiro, shut down every one of these resurfaced claims. He made it clear that Bradley James was not at the scene the night of the shooting. Alex also shared that Bradley has never testified or spoken publicly about the case.

Megan’s legal team says the Ring camera footage discussed isn’t new. The team says it was already played during Tory’s trial in 2022.

As for the DNA claims, the femcee’s team stated that when forensic experts tested the firearm, they determined there was a 90% chance that the DNA found on the weapon came from a man. That “Dance, Megan” line, which Tory’s team now insists was fabricated, remains part of official evidence.

Spiro didn’t mince words. He said, “Despite Mr. Lanez being convicted at trial by overwhelming evidence (that included his own admission of his guilt), he and his team—flanked by any ignorant person they can find—have pushed whatever misleading narrative they can.”

“One by one, their misleading statements unravel, and all that is left is the simple truth: he was convicted by overwhelming evidence, and those who seek to traumatize the victim of the crime should be called out as foolish bullies,” the lawyer continued.
