Ciara Says She's Planning For Baby. No 5 Soon

Baby No. 5 may be on the way for Ciara and her husband, Russell Wilson. While guest hosting TODAY alongside Jenna Bush Hager, Ciara hinted that she and the NFL quarterback could be expanding their family of four soon. 

“Do you think y’all are going to have baby No. 5?” Hager asked the singer as they were playing a game of “Sip or Spill” on Wednesday’s (Jan. 29) show. 

“I do, yeah, I do. You know, in a little bit of time,” the 39-year-old star said. “Listen, there’s a trend with all of our babies are three years apart,” the “1, 2 Step” hitmaker continued. “So I’m not saying that we’re going to follow that trend but, you know, if it’s up to Russ, ‘Cinco’ is coming next month!”

Ciara is currently embracing life with her loving family, alongside Wilson, whom she married in 2016. Together, they have four children: 7-year-old Sienna Princess, 4-year-old Win Harrison, 10-year-old Future Zahir from her previous relationship with Future, and their youngest, 11-month-old Amora Princess, born in December 2023. 

Ciara’s recent comment on the TODAY show came as a surprise, especially since her perspective on expanding her family seemed different just last year. In a November 2024 interview on The Jennifer Hudson Show, the singer expressed her excitement about the prospect of having another child, but also shared how content she was to have some time for much-needed self-love and self-care.

“Honestly, I do see the road of baby No. 5—but at the right time,” the “Level Up” artist told Hudson. “I want to grind a little bit. I want to drop it like it’s hot a couple of times. When I’m trying to drop it like it’s hot with a belly, I can’t get up. I gotta take my time a little bit. Mama gotta love on herself a little bit.”
