According to photos obtained by Page Six and The Daily Mail, Wendy Williams was photographed riding a mobility scooter as she entered the college graduation of her son, Kevin Hunter Jr., on Dec. 19.
The 60-year-old talk show host was dressed to impress at the event, wearing a sparkling black dress paired with silver and gold bangles on her wrist. She completed the look with a black bag and chic black Chanel boots. Despite a report in November from her financial guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, who claimed that the media mogul was “permanently incapacitated,” Williams appeared alert and fully engaged at the graduation ceremony.
According to Page Six, once inside, the proud mom smiled and cheered on her 24-year-old son. At one point, she was photographed wiping away tears, her hands clasped under her chin, as she watched her son receive his diploma. A few of Williams’ close family members were also in attendance, including her 93-year-old father, Thomas Williams Sr., and her sister, Wanda Finnie.
According to The Sun, Hunter Jr. graduated from FIU on Thursday, obtaining his Bachelor of Arts in Economics.

Williams’ recent appearance follows an explosive lawsuit filed by her guardian against A&E Television Networks in November. The lawsuit alleged that the company took advantage of the star during the production of her docuseries Where is Wendy Williams?
As previously reported, in a court filing on Nov.12, Morrissey stated that the 60-year-old talk show host had become “cognitively impaired” and “permanently incapacitated” due to her ongoing battle with dementia. In 2023, Williams was diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia (FTD). Aphasia affects language and communication abilities, while FTD causes significant changes in behavior, cognitive function, and personality.
Morrissey’s lawsuit claimed that A&E “cruelly” exploited Williams’ “cognitive and physical decline“ by producing and airing the documentary at a time when she was particularly vulnerable and unable to consent to being filmed.
