The wife of late boxer Arturo Gatti has been charged by Brazilian police with the death of her husband!
The huffington post is reporting that Gatti’s wife Amanda Carine Barbosa Rodrigues, a former stripper has been charged with murdering her husband in his sleep by choking him with her purse strap!!!!
The couple were in the middle of their second honeymoon at the Dorisol Resort in Porto de Galinhas.
23-year-old Rodrigues in the only suspect in the case – her purse was found by police with blood stains all over it and when questioned by Brazilian cops, Rodrigues’ story was “inconsistent and incoherent.”
The former exotic dancer “could not explain how she had spent nearly 10 hours in the room without noticing that Gatti was dead,” according to police.
Gatti and Rodrigues’ relationship was full of drama, to say the least. According to friends, “the relationship was not based on love” and “it could get violent at times.” Rodrigues even threw a lamp at Gatti on a recent vacation, according to Gatti’s manager, Pat Lynch.
In fact, the couple had a major blowout at a bar the night before Gatti was murdered!!
Rodrigues told police the two had a fight which led to Gatti smacking her and then pushing her down to the floor!
What ever happened to just picking up and leaving, why do people have to resort to murder??? SMH!!!!
