Listen To Black Women: Episode 3

Source: iOne Studios / .

HelloBeautiful has teamed up with our sister site MadameNoire on a brand new talk show called Listen To Black Women that is all about you. We are asking the questions you want answered and using your thoughts via polls, tweets and comments as the foundation of our program.

This week we asked the question: What in the world is “the spirit of girlfriend”? But if you’re unfamiliar with the term, you’re not alone! It all started when Ciara posted a viral clip a few weeks ago of Pastor John Gray discussing how too many women are focused on the wrong things and not finding their partner as a result. Some of you praised CiCi’s post in agreement, while a large portion of you were left questioning if, once again, Black women were being blamed for the bleak prospects out here if you’re single and looking for a mate.

We broke it all down in the episode and even spoke directly to Pastor Gray himself, who, along with his wife, Aventer Gray, explained what he really meant in the sermon. Be sure to check it out and keep sharing your thoughts with us so we can share them with the world every Friday on Listen To Black Women.
