Work it! Rapper and producer Missy Elliott is the new face of Marc Jacobs‘ Fall 2016 campaign, so expect flyness.

The fashion designer unveiled a behind-the-scenes shot, as well as one of the photos from the ad campaign on his Instagram and shared with his followers why he chose the Grammy-winning artist. (I mean…do we really need an explanation, though?!):

“From the moment I heard ‘The Rain’ back in 1997, I was entranced by the genius rhythms and brilliant rhymes of Missy Elliott. Missy’s music has kept me and my design team happily energized through countless weekdays, weeknights, and weekends during those long hours of sketching, fitting, styling, and doing looks,” the fashion icon said.

He continued to gush about her visual and creative direction, her ability to push boundaries, and more. “It was a dream of mine to work with her,” Marc revealed.

"MISSY, Supa Dupa Fly From the moment I heard, The Rain, back in 1997, I was entranced by the genius rhythms and brilliant rhymes of Missy Elliott. Missy’s music has kept me and my design team happily energized through countless weekdays, weeknights and weekends during those long hours of sketching, fitting, styling and doing looks. In addition to the boundless energy of her music are the visually pulsating and wildly cartoon-like music videos she made in collaboration with the talented and visionary, Hype Williams. I am in continued awe of Missy’s ability to push the boundaries of the style of music both to the eye and to the ear. It was a dream of mine to work with her and I'm happy to share this portrait by David Sims for our Fall '16 campaign." -@themarcjacobs • Photographed by David Sims Styling direction by @kegrand Casting by @bitton Hair direction by @guidopalau Makeup direction by @diane.kendal Nails by @jinsoonchoi Set design by @stefanbeckman #MJFW16

Cooler than a fan, Missy tweeted a thank you to Marc, linking back to his image and dropping some emojis, including the praise and fire emoji.

This is one ad campaign you won’t want to miss.
