Ashanti, has been busy behind the scenes making boss moves. The 35-year-old recently announced that she is executive producing a new movie.

By the looks of the cast, this isn’t just a straight to DVD, “Netflix and Chill” production. Ashanti has some major names attached to the project. In a new interview with Hollywood Live Today, Ashanti revealed that her film, entitled Mother’s Day will star Sharon Stone, Christina Ricci, Courteney Cox, Sharon Stone and Susan Sarandon.

No word on if Ashanti will also have a part in the film which will be released in May 2016. She does however have a new acting role on an episode of the A&E series, Unforgettable. On the show she’ll play, Stella a musician who tries to get away with murder! The episode also stars Lala Anthony.

When asked what scares her the most, the accomplished singer, actress and dancer also shared that she doesn’t feel like she’s reached her full potential. But we’re not sure what can top her latest accolade, working with Michelle Obama.

Ashanti is apart of the First Lady’s new campaign, #DrinkUp which encourages the youth to drink more water. Check out #DrinkUpAshanti on social media to see the song and music video.

Despite her busy tv, film and activism schedule, Ashanti is managing to make time for new music. She currently has a new single, “Let’s Go” and you can expect a new album from her in 2016! Check out the interview segment with all of her exciting life updates.
