Obama Remarks On Progress In News Orleans Since Hurricane Katrina

President Barack Obama spoke yesterday evening on the growth and issues New Orleans has experienced in the ten years since Hurricane Katrina. Obama commented on the city’s continued issues with poverty and racial inequality, saying: “Just because the houses are nice doesn’t mean our job’s done…What started out as a natural disaster became a man-made disaster, a failure of government to look out for its own citizens.” Read more at the Huffington Post.
