Tamia Gets A New Record Deal
Tamia just inked a major deal! The Grammy-nominated singer posted a picture on Instagram with her posing with her new label family, which is none other than Def Jam. Billboard reports that Tamia will be releasing her sixth album, the first one for Def Jam, in spring 2015. Her last album, 2011’s “Beautiful Stranger” was released under her label Plus One Music Group and debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Album charts.
The lovely singer is now label mates with Iggy Azalea, August Alsina and Jhene Aiko. After Def Jam released Rihanna from its roster, it was only a matter of time before they switched things up. We can’t wait to hear some new music from her!
UP NEXT: Usher’s Hot New Single ‘Believe Me’
We are here for Usher’s new music! The handsome crooner released, “Believe Me” and reminds us that he’s got the smooth R&B voice to leave us wanting more. The Mike WiLL Made-It produced track details a sad Usher, who wants his woman back, after he’d broken her heart far too many times.
Have you heard “Good Kisser” beauties?! It’s definitely one of the best jams of the summer. Oh and “She Came To Give It To You” ft. Nicki Minaj is in heavy rotation in our office. Both of these hot singles are on Usher’s eighth studio album, rumored to be called “UR” and it’s to be released this fall.
And in case you need more Usher than that…“The UR Experience” world tour is set to begin later this year! Will you be going?
UP NEXT: Mack Wilds’ ‘Don’t Turn Me Down’
R&B newbie, Mack Wilds put out the video for his sultry single, “Don’t Turn Me Down,” and we’re here for it. If you remember, the good lookin’ singer visited #TeamBeautiful’s office and sang the sensual tune for us and we were made believers.
In the video, Mack finds himself grappling with temptation and it gets to be too hard to resist. He and the woman in the video try to figure out if the time is right for their love. And when things get super heated, she decides it’s time to go. But then, the video twists and someone shows up right after she leaves and Mack has a decision to make. Check out the video above.
UP NEXT: Wait A Minute! Freddie Jackson’s New Single Is SEXY!
R&B legend, Freddie Jackson has over 30 years in the music business under his belt and he’s still putting out hot tracks! His latest, “Love & Satisfaction” is a testimony of what it takes to make things last. Freddie sings, “Love and satisfaction, girl that’s all you needed.”
The single is from Jackson’s new 12th studio album and we can’t wait to hear it. Freddie is the voice behind classics like, “You Are My Lady,” “Do Me Again” and “Rock With Me Tonight,” and his track is reminiscent of those hits, but with a new twist. We’re here for it!

UP NEXT: Rihanna’s Amazing New Album Artwork
UPDATE: We’ve been bamboozled! This above photo is not Rihanna! I repeat…not Rihanna! The woman in the photo above is 24-year-old Toronto native, Sherise Cromwell. She’s an entrepreneur who designs jewelry and swimwear.
I’m not sure who pranked the world with the fake Rihanna album cover for #R8, but I’m sad it’s not the cover. That’s such a hot photo!
So while everyone else was oogling over Beyonce’s stellar performance on the 2014 VMAs, Rihanna was focused on making the internet internet exclaim, “Yassss!” by simply releasing the artwork for her latest album, #R8. Rihanna looking freakin’ amazing! We need that necklace, that hat and that fierceness. Sheesh! The hashtag is because that’s what we’re doing these days on social media. I’m assuming the “R” is for her name and the “8” represents her 8th studio album. It’s like “Blue’s Clues“ and I figured it out!
Back in June, Rihanna teased us with a Twitter photo from the studio with the caption, “#R8” and since then, Rihanna’s been steadily working on new music. She’s currently on the “Monster” tour with Eminem, but uses the time between shows to work on the album. Several blogs have been spotting the Bajan beauty leaving and arriving studios in L.A. and NYC. The album is rumored to be released in November.
We’re excited to hear what Rihanna’s got to offer on this album. Hits, we’re sure.
