Imagine you are out and about trying to squeeze in a mani, yet need to race home to wait for a delivery or have a girls night to attend. Well head home without fear and have your mani come to you–or a blowout, or eyelash extensions, or a personal trainer, or a massage…and the list goes on. 1. Priv It Anywhere
So while I only tried three services (see below), PRIV has a slew of other options for your FitGirl beauty needs. This NY-based startup is designed to send you hairstylists, manicurists, personal trainers, masseuses (even spray-tanning specialists), straight to your door, in under an hour, with an app. The app is free and the service prices include tax and tip.
Don’t live in Manhattan? Don’t worry, PRIV plans to roll-out all of its services to the rest of the city in the upcoming months, and plans to takeover San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Miami by 2015, with even an international expansion in the works. Don’t believe me? Check it out for yourself.
2. That At-Home Mani Was Marvelous
True story–earlier this week, I was slammed with classes, clients, appointments, meetings and editing videos when I would rather be glammed up for a music video. Then pow – I decided to #PRIV it. Whipped out my phone, opened the PRIV app and scheduled myself a much needed mani. And less than 45 minutes later I was wrapping up an email while picking out what summer gel color I wanted to rock for the next two weeks.
It was kind of like that same time (mani/pedi) service you request at your local salon, just imagine sitting in your own living room and 86-ing your commute. And not only was this mani convenient, it was gorgeous! I was super impressed with Ellison Chang’s style and professionalism that she managed to convince me to do a little nail art – which is totally rare of me. I was comfy and it was convenient, so opted for cute!
3. Bat Your Lashes While You Work Your Biceps
I glam it up when I push up and rock lipstick when I tricep dip. Yep, that’s right, I wear makeup when I workout. Don’t get it twisted I don’t look like I am at a night club when I am in the fitness club, my regimen is just three quick steps – mascara, lip and brows.
Thanks to Hilda M. Grigorian over at PRIV, now I just do my brows, lip and then I dip. I got silk lashes beauties! Hilda came to the crib during my Wednesday afternoon siesta and while many abuse this term: I (for real) woke up like this. Two hours well spent for a few weeks of mega eyelash volume. She totally nailed my sporty yet sexy look and since then, let’s just say my burpees bring all the boys to the yard!
4. Why Order Takeout When You Can Order A Workout
Training bodies is what I love to do, but sometimes I want someone else to make me sweat it out. So after my class yesterday, I took off my trainer hat and decided to PRIV it with a one-on-one yoga session–and boy was it RAD! Fern Langham took my yoga game to another level beauties. It was truly unreal. She was so smart, witty and kind that I literally left Hudson River Park feeling as fresh as the crisp air we were downward dogging in.
