Part two of the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” reunion special didn’t fail to disappoint! With the return of Kim Zolciak – without her wig, the discussion of Gregg and Nene’s relationship and Nene revealing the source of her and Phaedra’s “fake friendship,” a lot of questions we’ve been thinking about for the past five seasons were finally answered!
Nene & Gregg’s Relationship
Nene told her cast mates that once she became “very rich,” Gregg couldn’t handle her success and for that reason the couple started having problems–which led to their divorce. Nene explained that she regretted how she handled everything, and wished that she had tried to work everything through instead of immediately filing for divorce. She also stated that her cast mates added more fuel to the fire and made her extremely negative and the one person who had a the biggest negative influence on her relationship issues was Phaedra.
Shady Phae Phae
As much as I love Phaedra, a lot of red flags popped up in my mind after hearing the majority of her cast members refer to her as “shady.” During the reunion, Nene brought up the fact that Phaedra wanted Marlo (speaking of Marlo, where was she this whole season?) to come on the show so they could fight over their ex, Charles. Phaedra denied that it was true and claimed that she didn’t know about Charles until after Marlo was casted. It definitely didn’t end there. Phaedra was then questioned about her motives for befriending Porsha, her million different career paths and the divorce rumors. Nene called Phaedra out again for being shady after hearing that her, Sheree and Kim filmed with her half sisters to dig up dirt on her! Phaedra continued to deny that she would ever intentionally hurt Nene, but it does make you wonder if Phaedra really is that shady or if it’s just an act she put on in front of the camera. At least now we have clarity on Phaedra and Nene’s “fake friendship.”

Kim’s Back – Without Her Wig!

Kim’s back and this time, she’s left her wig at home! Before Kim could even get settled in the couch and pour herself a cocktail, the ladies immediately brought up the brunch where Kim stormed out. Kim denied that she confirmed the dates for the couple’s vacation and the girls continued to insist that Kim was lying and that she indeed confirmed her travel dates with the production crew and cast. Next, they touched on the comments that Kim made about Kandi’s home. Kim said that she was not a racist (I think we go through the racial issue every season with Kim) and said that she didn’t mean to insult Kandi or her home. Then, Kim said that she did not copy Kandi’s baby name, Kash, even though Kandi was upset and believed that Kim stole the idea. Kim said that she had proof that she wanted to use the name Kash before this season even started and denied stealing the idea all together. Lastly, Nene and Kim’s friendship was brought up and when they were asked if they could ever be friends again. Even though they said that they probably wouldn’t be able to be the best of friends again, they both agreed that they had a mutual understanding of each other because they were friends BEFORE the show. They decided that they could be cordial to one another and give each other a hug to signal the end of a long and drawn out feud!
