Diana Ross Doesn't Answer Tyler Perry's Phone Calls

Tyler Perry has worked with many a legend in his impressive career. Stars like Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Cicely Tyson, Janet Jackson and more have no problem signing on to be a part of Perry’s vision. But there is someone who does have a problem and that legendary songstress is Diana Ross.

Perry revealed in an interview with Essence that he has dreamed of working with Ross, but to his dismay, she has not returned any of his phone calls. Well, damn. I thought that when Tyler Perry calls, you answer the phone.

“She’s been ignoring me for years. She’s the only person that I have dreamed of working with that will not return my phone calls,” Perry said recalling a brief conversation with the “I’m Coming Out” singer. “That was it, she never called me again. She said, ‘No!’ And that was it.”

Poor Perry. He just wants to have Diana’s amazing talents in one of his upcoming movies and she refuses to be a part of it. Maybe she doesn’t have his number saved in her phone and that keeps her from answering. I know I don’t answer phone calls of people I don’t have in my phone.

That’s not getting Perry down. He’s already got his sights on another legend (in the making) to work with–Eddie Murphy. “I’m totally open to [collaborating], but that would definitely depend on Mr. Murphy.”
