If you’re confused as to why GOP nominee Donald Trump is still trying to pander Black votes, you are not alone. While the reality star declined to speak at the NAACP and the National Association of Black Journalist‘s annual conference, he still believed that “working” for our vote in Wisconsin was a good idea.

At a rally in West Bend that only has 1 percent Black residents, Trump tried to make an appeal to African-Americans, ABC News wrote. And clearly he missed the mark, especially given his tone-deaf perception of what was happening some 20 minutes away in Milwaukee.

“Every time we rush to judgment with false facts and narratives, whether in Ferguson or in Baltimore, and foment further unrest, we do a direct disservice to poor African-American residents hurt by the high crime in their community — a big, big unfair problem,” Trump said Tuesday night at a campaign rally in front a mostly White crowd. “Our job is to not make the job more comfortable for the rioter or the robber or the looter or the violent disrupter, of which there are many.”

He added, “Our job is to make life more comfortable for the African-American parent who wants their kids to be able to safely walk the streets and walk to school.”

Uh … OK.

Trump even went so far as to pin Blacks against undocumented immigrants by saying they “come in and take everybody’s jobs, including low-income African-Americans.”

Now, given that the Republican leader only has 2 percent of the Black vote nationally and his history of hateful rhetoric, folks were not buying what the businessman was trying to sell.

“If he cares about black voters, he certainly has shown a complete disregard and disrespect for addressing them and their issues,” Rev Al Sharpton told Politico in a phone interview Wednesday afternoon.

“I don’t know what’s in his head, but I know where his body has been. And it’s been absent in terms of black concerns and black people and black audiences throughout his campaign,” he added.

“Donald Trump’s speech last night was not only disingenuous, it was dangerous, the numbers were bungled and it lacked facts,” Symone Sanders, a Democratic strategist and former Bernie Sanders press secretary, said during a recent CNN panel discussion. “I don’t know Donald Trump personally, but I do know that the words coming out of his mouth reek of racism and bigotry.”

And, in no surprise, Twitter was over it as well.
