Don’t Mess With Beyonce, Sony Sues Man For Leaking ‘4’ Album
It may have been two years ago, but Sony Music has found and sued the man responsible for leaking Beyonce’s 4 album.
Back in 2011, a 47-year-old Swedish man allegedly released Knowles’ album on a torrent website called The Pirate Boy 16 days before it’s original release date.

According to the Huffington Post, the record label has now filed a $233,000 suit, claiming the hacker’s actions not only negatively impacted Beyonce’s record sales but damaged Sony’s relationship with the singer.
According to reports, the man also works in the music industry and it appears the record label is looking to make an example out of the pirate.
Despite the leak, Beyonce’s 4 album went on to sell 310,000 copies in its first week.
