I heard sister dye or bleach (whatever the process) their hair blond or other shades of blond to show that they can look just as beautiful in any hair color and also show confidence. But to me, they are walking around looking like confident fools!! If she is emulating another culture of black or brown people, then she picked a fine time to do it just when everyone else in the entertainment industry who are black did it just for looks. I love Amerie. Since D.C. is my 2nd home, I have been listening to the girl from day one. She can sing and man…she is absolutely gorgeous! Amerie, you inspire me to keep growing my hair down to my behind but girl…I don’t think you could inspire me to go blonde. Hey! It’s your hair and you have the amazing advantage to dye those pretty locks but natural looks a lot better. Trust me..I had a half blond crown at one point and I was considered “Children of the Corn”. lol Back to black, baby!

I don’t like it on her, she should have tried either honey blonde or in track speak, #30 or Cognac color if she wanted to go lighter than the dark brown/black we typically see. But her eyes are very dark and dark hair looks better on her honey brown skin. However, I digress, I guess all of us are allowed to experiment – she should dye it back soon though :P

I personally don’t like platinum blonde/blonde hair at all. I don’t even like blonde hair on white ppl. Makes them look pale. I just always loved brunettes. As a dark skinned sister, I would NEVER wear blonde. Not even highlights. Light brown is it for me. Some light skinned folks may look good with blonde but never platinum blonde.

Amerie will always be a beautiful woman. Her hair style is cute and sexy. I don’t think she looks horrible or a mess. Just not her best. I liked her hair before, shiny black. Not a good look for her. Dying hair blonde is a lot of stress on the hair period, but everyone that isn’t naturally blonde shouldn’t dye their hair blonde.
