Wendy Williams better keep her fingers crossed and hope her show gets picked for another season. The New York Daily News is reporting that the radio-turned-daytime talk show host is having a lot of trouble boosting ratings and booking A-list African-Americans as guests – namely, Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston, who we both recently saw appear on Oprah’s couch.
Wendy burned bridges with Mariah Carey when she blamed the singer for starting the long-running feud with Eminem, before dissing hubby Nick Cannon, and Whitney is still reeling from their infamous on-air confrontation back in 2003 in which Wendy called her out on her drug use. Hear an excerpt below:
Tyler Perry, Diddy, LL Cool J, and Usher also refuse to appear because, at one time or another, Wendy publicly and repeatedly questioned their sexuality.
A rep for Williams said, “Our bookers are still in conversations with reps for Perry and Houston…,” but that doesn’t sound too promising. Supposedly, they’re looking to have Omarosa back on; after all, she provided Wendy with one of the best blow-ups in TV history last year during Wendy’s test run. Watch what happened below:
