I have noticed that when HB is writing about Hispanics, Armenians, Asians, and other non-black female entertainers, they either present the journalistic material in a neutral manner, or they present it in a positive light. The harsh spotlight of criticism is not used to describe the non-black female entertainer’s beauty, comportment, or her choice of hairstyle, make-up, or couture. In addition, HB takes every opportunity to eagerly promote non-black entrepreneurial ventures using superlative verbiage to describe the project, encouraging the black consumer to go to retail outlets to make a purchase. (Each sentence and every adjective are carefully vetted in the journalistic endeavor to generate support for the success of the perfume, jewelry, or apparel line being launched by non-blacks).
Conversely, when HB post articles about black female entertainers, the material is always slanted to perpetuate negativity – spewing ugly venom, innuendoes and unsubstantiated rumors to vilify. I have read articles where HB has invited its readers to take a microscopic look at the-always-beautiful Alicia Keys’ pimples, to sneer at Beyonce’s lace front wig, to ridicule Ashanti’s fashion sense, to accuse Gabriel of contributing to the demise of a marriage that was dead and buried for 3 years, and on and on and on.

HB definitely has an agenda, and it is not to shine a light of positivism on the Black Community, but rather to debase and malign.
The subliminal messages and images transmitted by media on a daily basis etch impressions, and set the standards and benchmarks of what is good, beautiful, and tolerable to society. Is HB trying to convince us that black women are somehow NOT as good or beautiful as other women who populate the planet? The journalistic approach that HB assumes in regards to Black people, to the Black community and to our relationships is very destructive — with a surreptitious objective to destroy, rather than uplift and build.
