Cop’s Wife Faked Home Robbery, Blamed Black Lives Matter
The wife of a Massachusetts police officer is accused of faking a robbery and vandalizing her own home.
According to CBS Boston, police say that on October 17, Maria Daly reported a burglary at her home, claiming that jewelry and money had been stolen. She also said her house was tagged with graffiti that appeared to be related to the Black Lives Matter movement. Yet, Millbury Police Chief Donald Desorcy said after the investigated the incident they learned the entire thing was a fabrication.
“Something wasn’t quite right,” said Desorcy. “I think that was pretty obvious and as a result of that investigation, the officers did their due diligence and followed through with the investigation that we had.”
“Basically we came to the conclusion that it was all fabricated. There was no intruder, there was no burglary,” he added.
Daly faces charges of filing a false police report and misleading a police investigation.
Trump Calls Black Supporter a ‘Thug,’ Throws Him Out of N.C. Rally
Donald Trump continues to put his foot in his mouth when it comes to speaking to and about African-Americans.
According to the News and Observer, the GOP presidential nominee threw out an African-American North Carolina man at a rally on Wednesday night calling him a “thug.” The man, C.J. Cary, is a staunch Trump supporter and reportedly drove over an hour to deliver a note to the reality star urging him to be more “inclusive to Black people, women, people with disabilities and college students.”
As Cary waved the note in the air, Trump assumed he was planted there from the Democrats (or Clinton’s camp) and responded by saying. “Were you paid $1,500 to be a thug?”
Followed by: “You can get him out. Get him out,” as three suited security guards escorted Cary out.
As he left, Cary tried explaining to the guards that he just wanted to give Trump a note, which they told Cary they would do.
More Than 140 #NoDAPL Water Protectors Arrested Overnight
On Thursday, Police and National Guard troops arrested more than 140 water protectors near a Dakota Access Pipeline construction site in North Dakota.
According to NBC News, the arrests were made after a six-hour standoff over the stretch of private land in the pipeline’s path. More than 100 police showed up in riot gear at the #NoDAPL resistance camp and were accompanied by multiple mine-resistant ambush-protected (MRAP) military vehicles, a sound cannon, an armored truck, and a bulldozer, The Root wrote.
The Water protectors said that the police also brought along multiple snipers as well.
NBC reported that demonstrators were in full effect blocking roads and bridges by setting fire and using “sleeping dragon” devices to physically latch themselves onto vehicles and large concrete. Some protesters even threw rocks and fire bombs as law enforcement officers closed in, the police claim. And one woman fired three gunshots at police, but no one was hit.
The police are trying to evict the people from the land in order to make way for the construction of a pipeline that would stretch across 1,200 miles. An act that the the Standing Rock Sioux have sued stating that the pipeline will destroy sacred land and threaten their water supply.
