With Rihanna receiving all kinds of negative criticism for allegedly needing rehab, the last thing the superstar songstress needed was to have to deal with a death of an essential family member.

Surprisingly enough, Rihanna’s troubled ex, Chris Brown reached out to her subliminally on Twitter, tweeting:

This tweet came before the “Turn Up The Music” crooner arrived at the BET Awards, where he took home two awards–one for Fandemonium and the other for Best Male R&B Artist. That night was a big one for Brown and he took the time to reach out to Rihanna to console her because Gran Gran Dolly’s death touched him as well.
