The wait will soon be over for Empire fans, as the show is set to premiere in less than a month.
As a quick teaser to get everyone excited, Fox premiered a trailer for what can be expected. And Lord… this looks good!
In addition to fighting to protect the family business and reputation, it looks like Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard) has gone to another level of crazy. His son’s face repercussions from their actions in past season. And Cookie (Taraji P. Henson), well, she still looks amazing in those furs.
If you needed any more of a reason to watch, season three will have Kid Cudi, Taye Diggs and Mariah Carey as guest stars.
“It was incredible!” Smollett told Entertainment Tonight about working with Carey who will play Kitty a superstar who comes to Empire to collaborate with Jamal on an “explosive” new song.
“She landed at 1 a.m. She came into the studio. We were there until seven in the morning, and we just recorded the song, and it was incredible, and I love her. It’s different getting to know someone that you love and respect and being able to work and do the work with that someone.”
We’ve already seen the cast at work from behind-the-scenes videos on Instagram. But that’ll do no justice for the show itself, that premieres Sept 21 on Fox at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
