Rihanna made waves Friday evening at The Corner in NYC’s Wall Street neighborhood when she presented her first ever Fenty Puma by Rihanna Collection.

Composed of apparel, footwear and accessories for men and women, the show was the pinnacle of a business relationship that goes back to December 2014 when the singer was made creative director and global ambassador for the German sportswear company.

“This collection is not only a representation of who I am and how I dress, but also pushes the boundaries of what I wanted to create with PUMA” the 27-year-old said. “I wanted to take PUMA to a new place with something unpredictable and unexpected.”

The collection that is reminiscent of 1990’s Goth and Grunge style was actually inspired by current trends in Asia. “It’s Japanese street culture with a haunting twist. I played with texture and silhouettes and all of the fabrics are luxurious. I reinterpreted the traditional in my way. I’m looking forward to sharing the collection with the fashion community and fans.”

Models donned in all black and white, with sparks of neon colors, the Bajan songstress was true to her nature adding durags, chokers, hoodies, bomber jackets and cut-out dresses to the line up.

Attendees included Foxy Brown, Naomi Campbell, Edward Enniful, Sofia Richie, Chris Rock, Travis $cott, SZA, Young Thug and Anna Wintour.

Rihanna starts her ANTI World Tour for her eighth studio album this month with Travis Scott, The Weeknd and Big Sean (dates here). Her PUMA by RIHANNA collection, under her FENTY label, will be available for retail September 2016.
