Misty Copeland is currently promoting her new documentary, A Ballerina’s Tale about her historic role as the first African-American female principal dancer for the American Ballet Theatre (ABT).

She stopped by The View and gave some insight into her personal life, which includes her recent engagement to corporate attorney, Olu Evans. Congrats Misty, girl, he is gorgeous!

If Olu wasn’t taken, he would definitely be our #MCM! Not to worry, Olu has an attractive, talented, chocolate cousin that just happens to be freshly single if you’re looking for a date to their wedding. Taye Diggs will be Misty’s new cousin-in-law!

Another fun fact about the dancer, despite wearing elaborate, lacy, sequined costumes when she performs, Misty says, she isn’t a ‘girly girl’ and has yet to pick out her wedding dress!

According to The Dailymail the couple met in 2004 at a nightclub and currently live together in Manhattan’s Upper West Side.

“…We’ve been together so long, it feels right but its not something I’ve been dreaming of my whole life. Lets keep it simple [because] I’m busy” she said on the wedding planning process.

Spoken like a true boss! Whatever Misty wears, we know she’ll look amazing!

Check out her interview on ‘The View’ below and her documentary, “A Ballerina’s Tale” is out in select theaters and available on iTunes today!
