Ava DuVernay had a not so fun experience with some random man who thought it was cute to touch her locs without asking first. The Selma director put him in his place, though. However, the situation still escalated when the man got rowdy. DuVernay is okay, but she decided to vent on Twitter.

That was obviously the abbreviated version, but at least she’s okay. That man probably got defensive because he knew he was wrong. It should be common knowledge that you just don’t randomly touch people without permission. But common knowledge isn’t common. Some people genuinely don’t know better, but a lot of people just don’t care and are willfully ignorant.
