Can someone please tell Rush Limbaugh to have a seat in the corner? The controversial radio host had his pants all in a bunch over leaked e-mails revealing Sony Pictures Entertainment Co-chairwoman Amy Pascal’s pick on who the next James Bond should be. Last week those crafty Sony hackers calling themselves, “Guardians of Peace”, released e-mails featuring a conversation with Pascal and former Columbia Pictures executive vice president of production Elizabeth Cantillon discussing who should take over from the current 007, Daniel Craig in the movie franchise. Pascal suggested Idris Elba become Bond, something the online world has expressed should happen for quite some time now.

While Pascal and moviegoers (along with us) all agree Elba should don a tux and become the super spy Lothario, Limbaugh got all in his feelings on Tuesday to hate on the prospect. According to Limbaugh, James Bond is white and should stay that way. Wait, what? Limbaugh claimed:

James Bond is a total concept put together by Ian Fleming. He was white and Scottish. Period. That is who James Bond is. But now [they are] suggesting that the next James Bond should be Idris Elba, a black Briton, rather than a white from Scotland. But that’s not who James Bond is. But that’s not who James Bond is and I know it’s racist to probably point this out.

At least he’s aware his thinking is bigoted. Limbaugh tries to compare Elba playing the iconic role to white actors playing real blacks. Limbaugh retorted:

Sometimes, a story is just a story. But we can always make it better. We can always be more fair. We can always be more equal about it. So, fine and dandy. George Clooney and Kate Hudson as Barack and Michelle Obama, and you can have Idris Elba as James Bond.

Huh?? He knows James Bond isn’t real and those he mentioned are right?? Touch lord…
