Omarion has become a proud family man, and he’s hoping to give “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood” viewers a different take on reality show relationships.

“I think a lot of time reality shows have, like, a negative connotation to it. I feel like me and my girl really represent young, black love,” he said during his visit to “The Real” today.

The former B2K front man welcomed a son over the summer, and he couldn’t be any more in love with his child and his woman, Apryl Jones. They’re the main happy and functional couple on the show, but they do have to grapple with some drama on “LHHH” in the form of some disagreements with his mother.

Omarion’s mom is fighting to hold on to her status as the Queen Bee in the family, and she’s not really trying to get along with Apryl despite the fact that the young woman is carrying her grandchild. The whole thing kind of reminds me of Momma Dee’s determination to remain the ruler of her family.

Much like Lil Scrappy, Omarion has decided that he’s not going to decide between his mother and his girlfriend. Instead, he’s just waiting to see if they can resolve their issues on their own. “I left that job a long time ago, so you know I don’t get in the middle of that. I just try to keep it neutral; keep it cool. Them is my two favorite ladies,” he explained.

“Y’all see them go through some drama, but, you know, hopefully, it ends on a good note “ he added. “We got the baby here now, and it’s all about love.”

Speaking of the baby, Omarion is still in awe of Apryl for going through 36 hours of labor without any medication. “Cheers to my baby!” he shouted from the couch. “It was an amazing experience. After seeing my girl give birth to my child, actually, it made me love her more.”
