Last night everyone who is someone in fashion attended the Met Gala in New York City. While most were swooning over Beyonce and Rihanna, I was star-gazing at one particular face the minute she hit those steps. Joan Smalls stopped for her moment on the red carpet and chatted with a few reporters about her gown selection. But I was not here for that. I only wanted to know where I could grab those violet lips!

High five to me…I found it. Fashionista.com snagged the deets on what Joan’s makeup artist, Sir John (he also beats Beyonce’s face) used to create the best beauty look of the evening.
“Navy eyeliner mixed with pink and magenta lipstick. All from Estée Lauder,” Sir John said via his PR rep. – Fashionista.com
And in case you were wondering, Joan Smalls is the face of Estée Lauder. To duplicate this wildly amazing lip use two of Estée Lauder’s new shades from their Pure Color collection: Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick in Dominant and Insolent Plum.
You can thank me later!

MORE ON STYLE & BEAUTY:
1. The Best Met Gala Dresses Of All Time
In just a few hours, the fashion elite will gravitate to the steps of the Metropolitan Museum in New York City all decked out for this year's "White Tie and Diamonds" theme (I am kinda geeked). As the excitement for who's wearing who builds let's take a look back at some of the best dresses at the Met Gala in previous years.
2. Beyoncé in Alexander McQueen
I will go on record and say that this is my fave red carpet look EVER from Beyonce.
3. Rihanna in Dolce & Gabbana
In 2009, Rihanna wore a smoking hot satin suit from Dolce & Gabbana and left us all wanted to upgrade our closets.
4. Beyonce In Givenchy
For the 2012 gala, Beyonce was all about the shock factor wearing this revealing gown from Givenchy. We talked about this for weeks.
5. Karolina Kurkova in Rachel Zoe
Karolina served all kinds of movie starlet realness for the 2012 gala. Decked out in all sequins and a fancy pageant girl hand wave, this might have been the best design ever created by Rachel Zoe.
6. Anne Hathaway in Valentino
That time Anne Hathaway had blonde hair and we almost forgot she was even dressed in Valentino! #YAS
7. Cameron Diaz in Stella McCartney
When color is done really well. Thanks Cammie.
8. Beyonce In Givenchy
Last year King Bey rocked the rock carpet in this custom look from Givenchy. I kinda hated this BUT the world fell to their knees anyways. #IllumnatiMuch
9. January Jones in Versace
The woman who made me change my mind about corsets and the color yellow.
10. Jennifer Love Hewitt
Believe it or not...this was very on-trend in 1999. Thank gosh we are past this look.
