2013 Soul Train Music Awards: Best & Worst Dressed
1. The Absolute Best & Worst Dressed
The 2013 Soul Train Awards were filmed this Friday (November 8th) at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The who's who of Hollywood slayed the red carpet in some of this season's hottest trends. From Toni Braxton in a blush full-length gown to Sevyn Streeter's cleavage-friendly cocktail dress, check out who won our fashion hearts and who may have needed to fire their stylist.
2. Toni Braxton
BEST: Toni is always one of my faves to watch on the red carpet. It can be a hit or miss with her style but this sheer blush moment works for her!
3. Bridget Kelly
SOMEWHERE IN THE MIDDLE: Loving the Bridget is taking fashion risks on the red carpet, just not sure what's missing. Maybe a Rihanna-red lip?
4. Sevyn Streeter
BEST: I simply adore Sevyn. She's a talented songwriter/singer who knows what works best for her tiny frame. This iridescent ivory frock is youthful and chic--I want it now!
5. Lil' Mama
WORST: Oh Lil' Mama!
6. Janelle Monae
TYPICAL: Janelle is just here because she's fabulous. But how many times can you rework this black and white theme?!
7. Chaka Khan
BEST: I dare not say anything bad about Mama Khan. This living legend could wear a potato sack and we'd all be like, "OMG that's so fly!"
BEST: Always that girl to snatch wigs on the red carpet. She might not have a new single for y'all but trust there's some fresh red carpet realness to be slayed by Ashanti.
9. Trina Braxton
BEST: Trina loves a good sparkle moment.
10. Traci Braxton
SOMEWHERE IN THE MIDDLE: Loving this color on Traci but something's missing. This dress should be a more snug so that we can see this new body of hers.
11. Towanda Braxton
BEST: I mean... can we talk about this body! We should all be this lucky at 40!
12. The Braxton's
BEST: The Braxton are here for every red carpet with lace, sheer and glitter things in tow. Love it.
13. Keith Sweat
BEST: Dear Keith Sweat, I love you (Even though you are old enough to be my Daddy)!
14. K. Michelle
BEST: For this red carpet appearance, K. Michelle actually wore a dress!
15. Vivica A. Fox
SOMEWHERE IN THE MIDDLE: Meh.
16. Malinda Williams
BEST (minus 10 points): I love the Olivia Pope-white moment that's happening in Hollywood. It's just so fresh to see against brown skin, but that contraption that's hanging below Malinda's chest... (raises hand in confusion)!
17. Vanessa Williams
BEST: Vanessa is so regal. All thumbs up for this beauty.
18. Chrisette Michele
BEST: Chrisette is another one of my faves, always dressed for her shape and making it look effortless.
19. Michelle WIlliams
BEST: Prints are another trend that you'll see often on the red carpets this coming season. Michelle Williams is werking this frock.
20. Keshia Knight Pulliam
BEST: The color, those pumps... I approve Keshia.
21. Faith Evans
BEST: Aside from her 8th grade prom pose, I am in love with Faith's look. Everything about this scream slick.
