Who is Sevyn Streeter?
Sevyn Streeter, real name Amber Denise Streeter, is a 26-year-old singer-songwriter from Haines City, FL.
Streeter, who is currently signed to CBE/Atlantic Records, started singing at an early age and signed up for local talent shows throughout Florida. At 10 years old, she scored her first big break when she tied for first place competing at the famed Apollo after she sang “My Funny Valentine.”
Sevyn was 15 when she signed her first record contract as part of the girl group TG4. Although the group was short-lived, they had mild success, performing at the 2003 Soul Train Awards and opening up for Bow Wow and B2K during the Scream II Tour.
Once the group disbanded, a friend urged Sevyn to place her music on MySpace, which caught the attention of Rich Harrison. She then joined the girl group “RichGirl” who toured with Mario and opened for Beyonce’s “I am…World Tour.”
Sevyn is well-known for her songwriting ability and has written for several artists. Her work includes “Slower” for Brandy’s Two Eleven album and Chris Brown’s “Fine China” as well as “New Day” for Alicia Keys, “Girl On Fire” album. Estelle, Kelly Rowland, Fantasia Barrino and Trey Songz have also worked Sevyn.
Sevyn, who is also a dancer, is gearing up for her debut album and released her first single ” I Like It”
