**UPDATE** Tila Tequila was indeed hospitalized last week for a week due to a brain aneurysm that nearly caused her death and was released on Monday. RadarOnline is reporting that due to the pain of the aneurysm, the 30-year-old took two bottles of unidentified prescription drugs. They’re also reporting that there may be some permanent brain damage. We hope she’s really ok and that this isn’t yet another attempt at making suicide jokes.
You remember Tila Tequila. The tiny firecracker that gained fame from having more Myspace friends than you could count, various magazine spreads and reality dating shows. Tila loves being the center of attention and she seems to be breaking down because she isn’t. TMZ is reporting that Tila has tried to kill herself all week. The entire situation reads like some whacked out Lifetime movie that ends with Tila in a wheelchair. Suicide is a serious matter and over the years, Tila has made a joke of it. It’s clear that the fame-hungry model, tv personality and Myspace queen needs some attention…and a hug. Here’s three reasons why.
1. Twitter Suicide
Back in 2009, Tila took to Twitter to address just how awful she felt about the world. The root of her meltdown was an altercation with then-boyfriend, San Diego Chargers player Shawne Merriman. Tila took back all her comments and expressed that because of her suicidal outburst, she was able to gain help from friends and family.
2. Caught On Camera
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice and you’ve got some really serious issues. In 2010, Tila once again hopped on Twitter to share photos of herself bloodied from a fake suicide attempt. The video (yes, she even made a video of it) has since been deleted from her old site. She claimed that one of her multiple personalities, Jane, tried to kill her. Seriously, suicide is nothing to make jokes about, so why does Tila seem to think it’s so much fun to stage a suicide?
3. Crying Wolf
It’s been two years since Tila’s last suicidal cry for attention. This time around, TMZ reports that Tila’s roommate called 911 and told the authorities that Tila’s been trying to kill herself all week. When the cops arrived, Tila was in and out of consciousness and they got her psychiatric help. Upon her release, Tila’s manager sent cops to her house to check on Tila and she refused to come to the door. Then she called the police, on the police, to figure out why they were at her house and she then explained that she was in a wheelchair. Uhm, ok?
