Alpine, New Jersey has just been ranked #1 on Forbes.com’s list of the Most Expensive Zip Codes in the United States. Thanks to celebrities moving in, the town has become a small community made up of sprawling mansions with a median asking price of $4.14 million. Just 20 miles from Manhattan, Alpine is, or was once, home to Diddy, Jay-Z, Stevie Wonder, and Chris Rock. Atherton in California was named the second most expensive, followed by New York City’s West Village with a $3.5 million median asking price.
