However, on April 4, 2008, the couple were married in New York City. It became a matter of public record on April 22, 2008, but Knowles did not publicly debut her wedding ring until the Fashion Rocks concert five months later. She also finally revealed their marriage through a rare public display of affection, using an opening montage video at the listening party for “I Am… Sasha Fierce” in Manhattan’s Sony Club.
